12/9/2023 0 Comments Best sunscreen moisturizer![]() I would look into Japanese sunscreen for every day(because they're lighter in feel but not protection) and french sunscreen for outdoor days (like beach or park, they feel heavy and thick but great protection up to PPD 40).Īs far as Japanese sunscreens go, If you want something very matte for oily skin, you can try these popular ones:īiore Bright Face Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ (that's a PPD of 16+)īiore Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ (PPD16+) If you can't remember both, forget the moisturizer and wear sunscreen only. Write a note on your mirror to remind yourself to wear both. Seriously enough that you might have to forgo your "i don't want to put on two products" requirements. ![]() You have a medical condition that requires you to stay out of the sun and you should take it seriously. OP, in my opinion you're going to need something like 3x that protection of the PC sunscreen. PPD 4-7: better than nothing but still bad I'm a bit annoyed that Paula touts these so much. Assuming those numbers are fairly accurate that is some absolutely abysmal UVA protection. Please look further down the thread.ĭamn. ![]() ![]() Good luck!ĮDIT: The above calculated numbers are probably not accurate. At present I'm using Olay Complete Daily Defense All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 30 for sensitive skin, which I like a lot but the PPD is only 4.1. I ordered samples of the Moisture Boost to try but haven't started it yet. Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (PPD 6.3, PA++) Paula's Choice Moisture Boost Daily Restoring Complex with SPF 30 (PPD 6.1, for dry) Paula's Choice Extra Care Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 50+ (water-resistant, PPD 7.0, for oily) Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 & Antioxidants (PPD 3.8) Paula's Choice RESIST Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 (tinted, PPD 5.4, for oily) Paula's Choice RESIST Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 25 & Antioxidants (PPD 4.3) Paula's Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Daily Mineral Complex SPF 30 (PPD 4.1) I recently ran a bunch of sunscreens through the Sunscreen Simulator, including Paula's Choice, to get estimated PPD values. You didn't mention UVA protection, but this might be helpful if you're interested. I'm starting to develop a few wrinkles - just laugh lines and forehead wrinkles, mostly, so I'd like some anti-aging properties too! My cheeks aren't really an anything area.they're just a zone for butterfly rash, as far as I'm concerned. I have combination skin - some dry areas (eyes, mostly) and some acne-ish areas (chin and forehead). This is more about an everyday type thing. I rarely go in the sun, and if I do, I always have SPF 50+ on. I always have great ideals, but unless my skin doesn't feel "right" until I put it on, I always end up being flaky with it (pun somewhat intended?). Any suggestions? Please try to be somewhat price sensitive! Thanks :)Įdit: I'm pretty bad about multi-step things. I've tried a few now - CeraVe and Cetaphil were way too oily feeling, especially since summer is coming up. I know it's kinda silly, but I just know I wouldn't DO both - I'd end up skipping one on a continuous basis. I really don't want to so 2 separate steps. I have lupus and my doctor recently read me the riot act for only using SPF 15 (Purpose moisturizer with sunscreen - my absolute favorite). Posts without a valid tag will be removed by Automoderator.
